Cik esmu uzzinājis, tad visām dzīvajām un saprātīgājām būtnēm ir gari, kas pēc fiziskās nāves nemirst. Vismaz tādi ir elfiem un cilvēkiem un par viņu garu likteņiem ir zināms.

Taču rūķi un enti un milzīgie ērgļi? Viņi taču netiek uzskatīti par Iluvatora bērniem, (rūķis, škeit dēvēja par audžubērniem). Vai viņiem ir gari? Un ja ir kas ar tiem notiek pēc nāves?
Un kā ir ar orkiem un troļļiem? Viņiem ir gari, jeb dvēseles?

Tāpēc, ka tā ir dāvana cilvēkiem. Elfi ir neglābjami piesaistīti Ardai un tās liktenim, priekiem, sāpēm, bēdām un visam pārejam. Cilvēkiem ir dota tā dāvana, ka viņi spēj doties rpom no tā visa. Kur - to nezina neviens.

Ir bijušas diskusijas, ka Mandos zāles ir sava veida šķīstītava (no katolicisma) , kur elfi atsēž noteiktu laiku, līdz viņi atkal spēj atgriezties Amanā un būt ar saviem radiniekiem. Beeet, tas vai tā ir šķīstītava ir strīdīgs jautājums. Ne visi gari arī tiek ārā, teiksim Feanors tur sēdēs līdz Dagor Dagorath. Un nav tā, ka elfi gluži reinkarnētos. Viņi nespēj atgriezties Viduszemē (ir gan izņēmumi, bet tie ir atsevišķi gadījumi), bet drīkst palikt tikai Undying Lands, kas jau sākotnēji bija itkā priekš viņiem, tb Manwe summon'oja viņus no Cuivienenas pāri Viduszemei un Beleriandai uz Amanu.

Vienprātības nekad nav bijis nedz starp cilvēkiem, nedz orkiem, nedz rūķiem. Vienīgi elfi labprātīgi nekad nav karojuši Morgota pusē, jo viņi necieta viņu un viņš viņus. Cilvēki ir karojuši gan Morgota pusē, gan pret viņu. Arī orki visdrīzāk karotu gan par Morgotu, gan pret, gan paši par sevi. Arī starp rūķiem ir bijuši klani, kas pakļāvušies Sauronam, un pakļautos arī Morgotam. Plus, ir vēl Maiari, kas bija Morgota pusē (Balrogi, Saurons un drošvien arī citi), pūķi, vilkači.

Then Aulë took up a great hammer to smite the Dwarves; and he wept. But Ilúvatar had compassion upon Aulë and his desire, because of his humility; and the Dwarves shrank from the hammer and wore afraid, and they bowed down their heads and begged for mercy. And the voice of Ilúvatar said to Aulë: 'Thy offer I accepted even as it was made. Dost thou not see that these things have now a life of their own, and speak with their own voices? Else they would not have flinched from thy blow, nor from any command of thy will.' Then Aulë cast down his hammer and was glad, and he gave thanks to Ilúvatar, saying: 'May Eru bless my work and amend it!'
