Hello friends!

I am Azaghal from Estonian TS.

With apparent aggravation I managed to register. Before I continue further however, I would like to get some pointers as to how I can change the forum language to english!

I have been stumbling in the dark for the last 10 minutes clicking on whatnot links and messing everything up.

HEEEELP!!!!

PLEASE!

Big thanks to Aiva for helping out. The solution was under my very nose, but I didn't notice it. Ignorance at its worst.

Anyway.

I have an idea.

We have established an international section to our forum:

http://foorum.keskmaa.ee/viewforum.php?f=93

That serves the following purposes:

a) Communication between T. fans;

cool.gif Fun and relaxation;

c) JRRT related discussions (believe me - cultural background affects analysis a lot and brings out viewpoints, that Estonian TS - or any other TS for that matter - cannot do alone);

d) Quizes;

e) Announcements about different events and discussion pertaining to them;

f) Debates.

What do you think?

If both Lithuanians and Latvians are interested, then I would be honored to host the first Tolkien debate (academic or not so academic depending on your views) ever held among three Baltic Countries.

That could serve as a big-bang-go-ahead.

What say you?

Of course all this involves cross-participation i.e. we come here and to Lithuanian international subforum et cetera.

Kind regards,

Mart

In english most probably. And if there is interest.

I think she meant the way teams debate. I mean - usually there are two teams, each trying to prove the opposite. How do you imagine three teams debating? Are you thinking of three different positions on a topic that should be proved or something like that?

Sooo, a report from the Estonian forum...

There's now going a discussion about how would the debates be held (it's quite sure that the debates will be in the usual way (two teams, each trying to prove the opposite), and there will most likely be a round (or two) of the teams debating with each other (either two or four matches) and then the two best teams would play the final match.

Everyone is welcome to express their thoughts in the Estonian message board's international section too.

I do like the idea of a debate between the three countries and I don't get how the fact that there is three of them would get in the way. There has already been a debate between Lithuania and Latvia, hasn't there? If it's really that difficult to have them all debate at the same time, maybe you could have turns.

Anyway, I'll try to take part this time, as they say- third time lucky. Lol.

Where'o'where have you disappeared, dear neighbours?

Let's carry the torch to the glorious end.
