LARP "Wedings in the Grey castle" 9-10.08.08 in Rakvere Opcijas

Hello all. I am Curunir from Estonia Those of you who were in the Middle Earth game last summer may remember me.
I was asked to give you an invitation to a LARP game that will be held this summer in the Castle of Rakvere.
Note, that I'm not an organiser to this event so if you have any questions etc please contact the organisers via the e mail given in the end.

The world has been shaken to its foundations and all peace is lost. The
goddess of balance, Eldoril, lies dead and the wicked firelord Baal is
gathering forces to rule the world. The massive migrations to the northlands
spread turmoil across the land. The black warriors of the south devastate
local villages and the kingdom is on the verge of destruction.

But a glimmer of hope remains. In the old Gray Castle, the center of Gray
Castle Duchy, adventurers who have witnessed the firedemon's wrath have
gathered to celebrate the wedding of one of their number and form a plan to
save the Kingdom. Aid may come from the most unexpected of places. New
heroes must arise to take up the challenge and rid the world of the evil
that is Baal.

But all must be wary for the party shall be grand and not all who attend it
have benevolent goals in mind. A dagger in the darkness is just as deadly as
a sword in a battle.


In the mean time, in a world so different from what we just described, yet
still so close... The fields and woods of Timeless Northlands are wrapped in
shadow as the Dark Mistress rules from the ruins of the old capital Arnost.
Her agents of the dark roam freely, unchecked and rarely challenged across
the land.

The Gods are helpless, cut away from communicating with their followers and
the ancient and eternal struggle between the three forces – the divine, the
arcane and the dark – has once more arisen and new truths about each are
discovered. There can be no impartiality in this war. Champions for each
side have done what they can to improve their cause. Some seek power, others
are driven by righteousness, a few hold peace in mind, but all travel to
Arnost to bring an end to the conflict – one way or another.



On the 9th of August in Rakvere Castle in Estonia the destiny of the two
worlds shall be decided.
Can you make the choice? Can you hold true to your beliefs? Are you ready
for the experience?
The dark will have you yet.

Well, to be clear: these are completley diferent game organisers then those that made Middle Earth.
But I have been to their games in the past and they are usually good.

By the way, is it possible to change forums language to english under the user settings? I tried, but was unable to do it.

About settings - as far as I checked, then it's possible to change just for some fetures, not for all forum. The buttons doesn't change as well, cause they are made in latvian, and make similar forum in english for switching would be difficult, not ever talking about our laziness.

Wrong! We aren't so lazy, you know.

It is possible to change forum language completely, but then you have no other choice than to use the default skin.
Instructions: at the lower left corner of the page you will find two text boxes with dropping list (sometimes called the optgroups). By default, they say: Kurbijkurne and Latviešu. The first is the skin selector, and the second one is for the language. You need to change both (in case, if you can't find that what you need, I will post links, clicking on them will do all the same). You need to select as follows:

Yes Rakvere is pretty nice. Btw, we have around 90 people who are registred, and free spots are running out. So, if anyone is coming we'd like to know as soon as possible. And we need to talk about your characters also

Not quite true in this case since we were supporting one of our own GMs, who picked a hellish place for us to roam around crawling on our hands and knees over a harsh terrain!
But anyway, sad that it had to be on the same weekend, otherwise I would have dearly loved to come and visit
